In Nuraminis they remember it well: «I played morra with the strongest in the country and I won. I became a hero." Paletta , bassist and founder of Punkreas is a river in flood as he tells anecdotes and curiosities of his stops in Sardinia waiting to return «and we can't wait, we are too excited. Playing on the island is different, it's more beautiful and never mind if we come in December and not in the summer. I remember when I danced with the women of Ortueri or that Il Tora Tora festival, with Subsonica in Cagliari».

The appointment is for Friday 2 December , the only Sardinian date, at the Cueva Rock in Quartucciu to celebrate the thirty years and more of this band of punk music and pure energy that continues to inflame the audience after the “XXX and …. Something Summer tour”. On the other hand, they had said that they would not stop and that they would resume the celebrations from where they had interrupted them. And now they are ready to bring all their incredible energy to the stage.

Tell us Paletta, 32 years lived dangerously?

«I would say more intensely lived than anything else, yes. With all our energy."

Who is the audience that comes to see you today?

«In the rows in front are the adolescent children of those who are three rows behind, and in the center is the middle ground, the thirty-year-olds. We are very happy to see so many young and super young people».

Let's take a step back. How were Punkreas born in 1989?

«The singer and I went to school together, we went to see concerts and we thought about creating a group. Friends supported us and the rest is history.

Do you remember the first concert?

"Of course? In a library in Rescaldina, it was a singing contest in which we arrived very last. There were many singer-songwriters, then we went on stage, people were a little scared also because we brought 400 friends who were moshing along with us».

It's incredible how your lyrics, let's think of "Voglio Armarmi" and "Sfratto", are still so sadly current.

«We should be proud of it but it was a defeat for the club. The problems, let's look at the eviction, are always the same».

Today there is more rap than punk, what do you think?

«I remember once in Sardinia they sang “Buffausu sa beer” to the rhythm of “Applause for Fibra”. It's not a genre that belongs to me, every now and then something pops up. Rap was born in a beautiful way, I am thinking for example of 99 Posse, then with the advent of talent a gigantic cauldron was created and aberrant things emerge, which do not send any message ».

And what about Fedez with you?

«Years ago he said he would like to make a record with us. I remember I went to pick him up at the station, he was waiting for me with an envelope with five beers. Then we went into the studio and a song was born. A helpful person, his humility struck me».

The new album?

“After the tour, we'll start recording. We plan to go out in the spring so we can go back to Sardinia in the summer as well».
