All that remains is to cross your fingers and wait for the outcome of the evaluations . The brilliant wine marathon of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles , red and white wines session, which took place in Calabria (Cosenza-Rende), ended this morning and saw over 7,370 labels from 40 countries competing.

A unique showcase in the world and of great depth (impeccable organization) where a total of 105 Sardinian labels participated . A respectable presence in relation to the other Italian regions in the competition.

The island has equaled the Veneto , while at the top of the ranking of wines presented stands Sicily (202 labels) followed by Tuscany (186), Puglia (185), Calabria (143), after Veneto and Sardinia the rest of the Peninsula. Overall a large participation of the Italian wineries with about 1400 wines (better only France which stands out with 1650).

As many as 310 expert judges from 45 countries were called to evaluate the tasting samples. The results collected and processed by the analysis staff of the CMB will arrive in a few weeks and it will be interesting to know how the Sardinian cellars will be positioned.

Meanwhile, yesterday the venue that will host the 30th edition of the international wine competition was made official : it will be Istria and more precisely the city of Poreč . From 12 to 14 May 2023, the world event will therefore move to Croatia.
