Thirty-five and a half million euros. This is the amount of funds allocated by the Department of Tourism and Commerce of the Sardinia Region in favor of commercial activities.
An endowment – which will be managed by Unioncamere Sardegna through the territorial Chambers of Commerce – aimed at supporting investments by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, through capital incentives of up to 40% of eligible expenditure and bonuses for increased employment.
"This is - explains regional councilor Franco Cuccureddu - a highly anticipated intervention by businesses in the sector" and it is "the most important financial intervention that the Sardinia Region has ever allocated to commerce , with over 35 million euros. A measure that comes at a particularly delicate time for the sector, which also in Sardinia is showing strong critical issues, with a strong negative balance between commercial businesses that close and new openings ( THE DATA )".
Applications can be submitted exclusively online on the SIPES portal from 6 May to 5 June 2025 and companies in the trade sector, operating in Sardinia, that have made or completed an investment financed by a bank, in compliance with the requirements and ATECO codes provided, can access the contributions.
"The initiative - explains the Region - represents an important opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness and growth of the local commercial fabric". "The trade sector - concludes Franco Cuccureddu - needs a new discipline, which takes into account the evolution of the market and the new needs of daily life. This important announcement represents, in fact, the first step which will be followed by an organic bill on trade, which will be shared with trade associations and stakeholders".
