Second meeting in a few days between Christian Solinas and Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini .

The last time there was talk of dams and a reshuffle in the Regional Council, today - the ministry says - the two took stock of roads and railways , reiterating the need to reduce the infrastructural gap in Sardinia.

" Operational and concrete " meeting, as Solinas defined it.

The governor, who has also assumed the functions of extraordinary commissioner for Sardinian roads, has put on the table the acceleration of the work of Anas and asked for funds in particular for the Olbia-Arzachena-Palau . There was also talk of the completion of the Sassari-Alghero line and of the projects on the Sardinian transversal which should finally favor east-west connections on the island.

On the railways front, Solinas underlined the need to invest in network speed and to develop the Nuoro-Olbia connection .

"We have an extraordinary opportunity ahead of us that allows us to launch the largest plan to modernize and improve the efficiency of Sardinia's road and infrastructure network and we cannot waste it," said Solinas.
