Smiles and tears for Paulo Azzi, guest of today's episode of "Il Cagliari live", on Radiolina and Videolina. The Brazilian full-back starts from the beginning, with a surprise debut, a few hours after landing at Elmas: starter against Como and immediately scoring. «After the difficult first months of the championship in Modena, arriving here and playing immediately, scoring and helping the team: it was very nice. And then now we've found that away result we've been looking for for a long time. It will be important for the final».

There's a break, but Azzi thinks positive: «It's a pity to stop, but this break will help us regain energy. We have to maintain this focus. Eight games await us, especially many direct matches starting from Sudtirol. We started doing some movement, studying their strengths. They are doing very well, we have to prepare ourselves in the best possible way». There is no mention of standings: «Many direct matches are an extra incentive for us. We have to give continuity and get as high as possible. In January I could have gone to Serie A, but Cagliari convinced me with their offer. And then conquering Serie A with your team, on the pitch, is a satisfaction that remains in your heart and I would be very happy if it were to happen."

Smiles and tears, for Azzi, when he thinks back to Brazil and the saudade for parents and friends: «With cell phones you can break down distances, of course. But this year too I wanted to go home, but having children it's difficult to move. One thinks footballers have a good life, but there are things we have to leave behind in order to pursue a dream or a career. My parents are my strength."
