In Sardinia the spotlight is still on health , after the great demonstration of the trade unions last Saturday and the question and answer between the regional councilor Mario Nieddu and the opposition exponent Francesco Agus on the shortage of doctors on the island .

On Thursday 27 October, at 10 am, Nieddu and the general directors of the department and Ares will be heard by the Health Commission of the Regional Council.

On the occasion, the resolutions of the Solinas junta on community homes and hospitals, provisional accreditation of social structures, training of health care workers, schools and families of people with learning disabilities, programming and parameters of medically assisted procreation performance will be illustrated and recognition of the social and educational value of the speakers.

And it will also talk about staff recruitment, competitions and vacant seats.

The group leader of the League, Pierluigi Saiu, requested the presence of the councilor and the Ares managers.

"The most serious problem today - says Saiu - is that of the recruitment of medical personnel who tend to benefit the Cagliari and Sassari centers, impoverishing the other health centers and undermining the functioning of entire departments. Without the introduction of a serious corrective mechanism - continues the group leader - we will find ourselves with entire hospitals paralyzed ".

For the leader of the Lega, competitions "cannot be an anarchist tool through which disguised mobility takes place. If we want to guarantee the right to health of all Sardinian citizens - he clarifies - we must proceed by priority. Today the priority is to guarantee the functioning of the departments and therefore the recruitment must take place on the basis of a mechanism that moves from the degree of suffering of the operating units: first those most in difficulty ".
