“I read that this year many Italians go to the sea in Egypt . But why should an Italian look for what he has at home in Sharm el-Sheikh? No thank you. Go to Caorle (Veneto), Samperi (Ragusa), Arcomagno (Calabria) or to the Pink Beach of Budelli in Sardinia ".

This is the post published by Vittorio Sgarbi on Twitter , in controversy with those who, instead of staying in Italy, choose distant shores for their holidays, such as Egypt, where in recent days there has also been a tragic news story, with a child Italian aged only 6 who died following an intoxication during a vacation with his parents.

Many followers, however, pointed out to Sgarbi that the pink beach of Budelli, although beautiful, is not accessible to swimmers , as it is an environmental jewel inserted in the national park of the Maddalena archipelago.

Others, however, underline the very high costs to reach Sardinia in the summer by plane or by ferry, unlike Egypt where, on the other hand, you can find cheaper offers.

Still others, finally, embrace Sgarbi's thesis : Budelli or not, Sardinian beaches - and Italian ones in general - have nothing to envy to natural "paradises" around the world.
