Recomposing the political crisis at the Union of Municipalities of Marghine appears increasingly difficult, less than five days before the assembly of ten mayors, set for 6pm on 29 August. Relations between the mayors themselves worsen, who proceed divided and with opposing positions. Indeed, the mayor of Bolotana, Francesco Manconi, in a long document attacks on all fronts . Finger pointed at the attitude taken by the president of the Union, Gian Pietro Arca, regarding the Badde Salighes affair, which triggered the crisis, and the intervention of two young entrepreneurs who wanted to open a kiosk for drinks and food in the old village barracks.

«We wanted to peremptorily distrust two young people who have carried out a meritorious work honestly, without predatory intentions, who should be applauded, while we are lenient towards citizens who have occupied and vandalized the land and buildings owned by the Union of Municipalities, with the aggravating circumstance of profiting from it», Manconi writes, among other things, «one shouldn't govern an institution with hysteria, but with wisdom and common sense», he continues, «I believe instead that the problems to be solved are other and very serious . Our citizens, already disadvantaged and tormented by a crisis situation that appears irreversible, do not need to receive warnings but real support".

Gian Pietro Arca therefore risks losing the presidency of the institution, given the position of a large group of mayors, who are asking for the zeroing of the offices

«We continue to try to move the discussion to another level», Arca replies to the indictment of the mayor of Bolotana, «evoking alleged political problems within the Union of Municipalities which, I quietly point out, until the well-known facts concerning Badde Salighes, they were not in existence. I discouraged the mayor of Bolotana, inviting him to resign, because he lied about Badde Salighes knowing he was lying. I did what I had to without any hesitation, in the exclusive interest of the institution I represent, and I'm proud of it. My fellow mayors will take, legitimately and democratically, the decisions they deem, to which I will comply as I have always done. I am serene - concludes Arca - because I know I have done well and have contributed to solving age-old problems that characterize the Union of Municipalities of Marghine. I would do what I did again, without ifs and buts». The final decision on this matter now passes to the assembly.
