The Region's emergency plan to reduce healthcare waiting lists needs to be reworked. Only 2,000 appointments have been rescheduled so far. Furthermore, very few people are aware of reimbursements, as doctors rarely inform their patients. Nor has there been an advertising campaign explaining to citizens their rights if a specialist appointment is booked at a very long notice, without respecting the guaranteed timeframe.
