The project is called "microcredit for freedom" and aims to offer financial support to women victims of violence and help them start over.

A project that sees the participation and involvement of politicians, institutions, public administration, the Church, businesses, and the professions.

Speakers at the conference will include: Regional Councilor for Labor, Desirè Manca; Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Sassari, Giuseppe Mascia; President of the Sassari Chamber of Commerce, Stefano Visconti; Bishop Corrado Melis of Ozieri; President of the Sassari Association of Accountants, Marco Scanu; President of the Sassari Association of Labor Consultants, Giuseppe Oggiano; President of Confidi Finart Confartigianato Sassari, Maria Amelia Lai; Head of Special Credit at Banco di Sardegna, Paola Del Fabro; Vice President of the European Microfinance Network, Emanuele Cabras; and President of the CPO of the Sassari Bar Association, Silvia Mesina.

Freedom microcredit can be achieved in two ways.

The first is social, intended for women victims of violence in situations of economic vulnerability , such as unemployment, reduced income, or liquidity crisis, to cover medical, educational, and transportation expenses, or to secure new housing. It offers interest-free financing of up to €10,000 , free financial education courses, support for self-employment, and assistance from a specialized microcredit tutor who supports the beneficiary from application to repayment. The loan is for goods or services related to the basic needs of the applicant or her family, excluding the abusive partner. The maximum term is 60 months and is 100% guaranteed by the Public Guarantee Fund.

Then there's the entrepreneurial one, which supports women victims of violence who want to become self-employed entrepreneurs or start or develop microbusinesses: here, the maximum financing is up to €50,000 . The maximum term is 120 months, with a possible grace period of up to 12 months. The financing is interest-free and is covered by the Guarantee Fund for SMEs up to 80% (60% for loans over €50,000). The loan covers the purchase of goods and services useful for the business, salaries of new worker members, and company training.
Maria Amelia Lai, President of Confidi Finart Confartigianato Sassari : "Violence against women is not a single, nor a simple phenomenon. It has a thousand faces: it can be psychological, economic, familial, or emotional. It can occur in the silence of homes, in financial dependencies, in breathless fears. It is made up of hurtful words, of controls, of denials, of invisible loneliness. When we talk about violence, it is necessary to remember that it is not only physical, but also psychological and economic . Many of its forms are invisible, but no less devastating."

The freedom credit, he adds, is «a project that unites tools and community, a model of
Collaboration between organizations, professionals, and institutions, because addressing violence means not only addressing the emergency, but also building paths to economic, psychological, and social autonomy.
