The Radical Party appeals to Parliament and the Presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate "to schedule and approve the Zuncheddu bill, aimed at ensuring timely and concrete financial support for victims of miscarriages of justice and wrongful detention."

The bill, promoted by the Radical Party, supported by the signatures of over 50,000 citizens and filed in both houses of Parliament, includes among the first signatories Irene Testa and Gaia Tortora , "who have been engaged for years in the fight for rights, guarantees and a fairer justice system."

The case of Beniamino Zuncheddu , acquitted after almost 33 years spent unjustly in prison, «represents one of the most dramatic cases of miscarriage of justice in the history of our country.

The Radical Party emphasizes that "the recognition of a miscarriage of justice cannot be exhausted with an acquittal. The state must guarantee immediate support to those who, after years of unjust detention, find themselves having to rebuild their lives, often without financial resources and adequate protection. For these reasons, it calls on the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate and all parliamentary forces to make a concrete commitment to the scheduling and approval of the Zuncheddu law."
