Valledoria, the mouth of the Coghinas river overflows

The Municipality of Valledoria activated the Municipal Operations Center for hydrogeological risk last Friday due to the flooding of the Coghinas river, at its mouth, in the Imbarcadero and San Pietro a Mare area. The water level, in some areas, they let the municipality know, has reached and exceeded the roadway as well as the entire surrounding area.

«One solution could be to review the rolling plan - claims the mayor of Valledoria, Marco Muretti - to avoid situations like the one we had to face and resolve thanks to the intervention of the Civil Engineers and the Reclamation Consortium. And not only that, to ensure that inconveniences of this kind do not recur in the future, it would be advisable to check with the responsible bodies, in this case the municipal administration, that the mouth is able to release the waters that flow downstream and allow, if necessary, that we can act operationally in this sense".
