A water leak has been ongoing for weeks, prompting protests from residents in one of the residential areas at the entrance to Ussana. The first call to Abbanoa to report the fault dates back to August 22nd, but the problem persists to this day.

"For more than 10-15 years, this neighborhood has been experiencing constant interventions for leaks in the water mains," explains Cristian Mudu, a city councilor in Ussana. "It happens especially between Via Tiziano, Via Picasso, Via Eleonora D'Arborea, and Via Raffaello Sanzio."

The problem, Mudu emphasizes, is not isolated: "We know that this criticality affects most municipalities in Sardinia. Ours is among the regions with the highest rate of water loss along the distribution network. Residents are exasperated: they're demanding better service. Waiting weeks for an intervention is no longer acceptable. We need precise planning that ensures faults are resolved within 48 hours. Water is a precious resource and must be protected. By everyone."
