Urban daspo for vandals, rude ones, smugglers, for those who contribute to malamovida, abusive parking attendants and harassing beggars, but also for those who consume alcohol in streets and squares. This is established by the urban police and security regulations approved by the council and which must now be approved by the Cagliari city council. And the mayor Paolo Truzzu launches an appeal to the citizens: “Don't give alms. All the people who camp out in the city are followed by the Municipality and by voluntary associations, have citizenship income or refuse accommodation ".

So after ninety years the capital is about to adopt a regulation suitable for these times. The main novelty is the introduction of several "red" areas: sensitive areas in which those who violate the regulation will be heavily sanctioned and can be removed with an urban Daspo and therefore will not be able to return to that part of the city. Whoever does so will have even more serious consequences. Among the "red" areas are the downtown districts, squares, areas with schools, museums and monuments, the Poetto seafront. "We must work on prevention and this new tool will give citizens greater security", explains Truzzu. Common sense will obviously be used and controls will be strengthened. “The regulation will now pass in the committees and the council. We hope in the contribution of the minority for improvements, not for an upheaval ”.

The local police will take care of the checks and the arrival, in the coming months, of new agents will allow better services, as highlighted by the commander of the Municipal, Guido Calzia. “In this way there is a precise regulation and the applicable sanctioning instruments”. The president of the city council, Edoardo Tocco, and the president of the safety commission, Marcello Polastri, spoke of a "safer city".
