Undernourished and alone at home, 87 years old saved by the carabinieri in Sinnai

An elderly woman was rescued by the Sinnai carabinieri who found her at home on her double bed, in an advanced state of muscular atrophy, probably due to severe malnutrition.

The woman was transferred to the Santissima Trinità hospital in Cagliari.

The military intervened at the request of the councilor for social services and labor policies of the Municipality: forced the entrance door, they identified the 87-year-old in the room and called the 118 ambulance.

The case has been investigated.
