A girl in difficulty while surfing this afternoon in Santa Caterina bay was rescued by the Fire Brigade . The surfer, unable to return to shore due to the strong mistral , was reached by the firefighters' jet ski, who helped her return to shore safely with her SUP board.
The firefighters with the qualification of aquatic rescuers are present in Santa Caterina in the maritime garrison established by the Municipality of Cuglieri with its own resources, with the Provincial Fire Brigade Command, Port Authority. It will be active until August 18th to monitor the stretch of sea that goes from the Is Benas pond to the cliffs of su Riu de sa Ide , for approximately 10 kilometers of coastline.
The aquatic garrison strengthens sea rescue, already active on the Cuglieri coast - Torre del Pozzo, S'Archittu and Santa Caterina - and will be constantly monitored by a jet ski and a fire boat to intervene promptly in case of swimmers in difficulty, boats and watercraft broken down.
