Two devastating fires in just a few months: a double blow for the Macchiareddu company.

West Recycling, a company in Macchiareddu that recovers metal and electrical equipment, paid the price.
The first fire was certainly started maliciously. The second is highly likely: someone may have set the fire in a different spot from where the arsonists had first attacked. But even in this case, the damage is extensive.
The fire involved approximately 40 cars , various household appliances, and piles of batteries, tires, and engines. The high temperatures caused numerous explosions, alarming residents of Assemini.
Firefighters, last night as they did about three months ago, had to work long hours to put out the fire, using fire engines and breathing apparatus.
