The meeting between White House envoy Steve Witkoff, Israeli Foreign Minister Ron Dermer, and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani to try to accelerate an agreement between Israel and Hamas on the Gaza truce and the hostages will be held today "in Sardinia."

Axios journalist Barak Ravid revealed this in a post on X, thus denying previous rumors that Rome would be the venue for the talks. At the moment, the White House has only confirmed that Witkoff is traveling "to Europe," without specifying the location.

Meanwhile, Hamas confirmed that it had submitted its response to the Israeli proposal for a 60-day ceasefire to Qatari mediators. In a statement posted on Telegram, the Islamist movement stated: "Hamas has just submitted its response and that of the Palestinian factions to the ceasefire proposal to the mediators."
