The curtain finally falls on the Ogliastra Carnival.
As a sign of respect for the mourning that has struck the territory with the killing of Marco Mameli, last Saturday in Bari Sardo, the Municipality of Tortolì has also cancelled the parade initially scheduled for March 15.
"A family well integrated into the city context. Marco himself worked in Arbatax with a company in Tortolì. Good people and hard workers: on behalf of the community I express closeness to the family", said the mayor, Marcello Ladu.
The municipal administration, in agreement with the Pro Loco Rocce Rosse Tortolì, has decided to cancel the event in which the floats from other towns should have participated.
Previously, decisions had also been made by other mayors to cancel the parades scheduled for the next few days in Arzana, Ulassai, Girasole, Cardedu, Santa Maria Navarrese and Perdasdefogu.
