Tornado hits Osilo: roofs, damaged cars and trees in the street

Roofs uncovered, trees fallen, parked cars damaged by the collapse of the cornice pieces.

It is the balance of a whirlwind that hit Osilo in the night, storms and water bombs that hit the whole area around 1.30am, from Osilo to Valledoria.

In other centers there are flooded streets and cellars, but the most serious inconveniences are seen in Osilo , where a violent whirlwind accompanied the rain.

"We are doing a detailed reconnaissance this morning - explains the mayor Giovanni Ligios -, the whirlwind caused a lot of damage especially in the central part of the country, but fortunately no one was injured".

Torn branches and fallen trees in the street, one of which even blocked access to the village. And again, open roofs, tiles and cornices on the cars .

"We are working with the Technical Office, the Civil Protection and the Barracellar Company to cordon off some areas - says the mayor - some roads have been closed to traffic by the fire brigade".
