They planted a crude but still high-impact bomb in the Postamat cash dispenser in Tinnura. The explosion destroyed the machine and threw shrapnel onto a car, but it still didn't open the safe containing the money. Indeed, the criminals fled empty-handed. The attempted robbery took place last night along Via Nazionale, a municipal section of State Road 292.

The Postamat machine, which has been located there since 2019, was targeted, just steps from the Barracellare Company's garage. The explosion obviously woke up those who lived nearby, and law enforcement arrived on Via Nazionale within minutes. Initial checks, inspections, and roadblocks were carried out, but the investigation continued into the morning, gathering witness statements and reviewing footage from the municipal video surveillance system.

"This act is not ours," commented Mayor Piero Fadda. "Ours is a peaceful, supportive community that has never had to deal with similar incidents. I, of course, express the strongest condemnation of this act of vandalism, which has also endangered public safety."

The mayor's words are those of an entire community that, as Piero Fadda emphasized, has not experienced any criminal episodes in its recent history.
