They drove into the heart of the Girgini Forest by car and got bogged down by the rough terrain and the not exactly ideal weather conditions for an adventure of this type.

So this afternoon, around 3.30 pm, an operational team of the Sorgono fire brigade intervened, after a request for help reached the Nuoro operations room.

The firefighters rescued the tourist couple, who were no longer able to continue their journey or go back. The car was towed to a safe area in the nearby municipality of Arzana.
