Raffaele Sestu met with Pope Leo XIV. During the audience, held in the Nervi Hall, where the pontiff welcomed the presidents of the Pro Loco Unpli (Italian Tourist Boards), the doctor from Arzana, the longtime leader of Sardinia's tourist associations, presented Pope Leo XIV with two books as gifts: The Sacredness of Bread in Sardinia (Marisa Iamundo De Cumis) and Holding the Sun by the Hand, a work by Maria Lai featuring color reproductions of several paintings by the Ulassai artist.

In recent days, the UNPLI delegation, led by President Antonino La Spina, was received in audience by Pope Leo XIV. During the meeting, the president conveyed greetings from the more than 6,400 Pro Loco organizations active throughout the country.

"Meeting the Pope up close," Sestu commented, "is always a great thrill. Meeting the Holy Father, I felt a similar thrill when I visited Pope Wojtyla." Regarding Prevost's personality, the president of the Sardinian Pro Loco expressed jubilation: "It's not easy to be Pope after Francis, but Leo XIV is a great man, and I believe the right person has been chosen. His interest in the world of volunteering and the third sector is a source of pride and honor for all of us."
