He lost control of the truck and went off the road. A truck driver in his 50s was taken to Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari with a red code, following injuries sustained in the traffic accident that occurred late this morning on Provincial Road 2 in Uta.

For reasons not yet determined, the truck driver lost control of the heavy vehicle at kilometer 13, ending up off the road. The truck overturned into a ditch.

The firefighters and emergency medical services responded immediately to the scene. The 50-year-old was rescued and taken to the hospital by emergency medical services. His life is not in danger.
