They came from different parts of the island to promote initiatives related to the public health problems that afflict the entire region . It was therefore decided to immediately organize a large-scale demonstration, involving the entire island, to give the regional government a boost.

Some committee representatives (many of whom followed online) then announced that district-level demonstrations are being prepared, involving mayors and all the associations. There was a lot of substance in the meeting held in Silanus, with the participation of several members of the regional coordination body for the defense of public health.

"Now there are no more excuses for the regional government," says coordinator Alessandro Rosas. "There is, in fact, a progressive deterioration everywhere, and particularly in the traditionally most inland and disadvantaged areas of the island, causing great concern among communities and a growing trend of forgoing treatment. There is therefore a need to step up the mobilization at both the local and regional levels, to challenge institutional and management authorities, to concretely implement the measures adopted and those to be adopted, to prevent them from remaining on paper as mere pronouncements with no impact on the disastrous situation of our healthcare system."

Representatives of various committees attended the meeting. All raised other issues, particularly the need for accurate information on the implementation status of the healthcare investments envisaged by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), particularly regarding community homes and community hospitals. The situation was examined territory by territory, and the many challenges that had been highlighted were highlighted. The mayors and their District Social and Health Committees, which, with a few exceptions, are largely overlooked during this critical phase for Sardinia's healthcare system, were therefore urged to take a leading role.
