The conference of decision-making services for the approval of the final project for the new stadium in Cagliari was called today. The first meeting - announces the municipal administration - has been convened for July 3rd.

The Services Conference will lead to the issuance of the final provision, complete with the opinions of competence of the entities concerned, necessary for the realization of the work. The Environmental Impact Assessment (VAS) application will be filed in the regional offices in the next few days . We are therefore entering a decisive phase for the new "Gigi Riva" stadium, with the mayor Paolo Truzzu who in recent days had sent a letter to the Region - addressed to the president Christian Solinas and the councilor for public works Pierluigi Saiu - to after three months of waiting, finalize the program agreement and transfer the 50 million euros allocated with the latest budget law to the Municipality.

"It is necessary to define the program agreement - writes Truzzu - which will allow the Region, and in particular the Department of Public Works to which the resources are assigned in the regional budget, to commit the expenditure to cover its share of the co-financing of the intervention . Only subsequently will this body be able to call the tender for the identification of the subject who will have to draw up the executive project, carry out the work and manage it ».
