Boats bent by the strong wind that has been hitting the coast and the port of Porto Torres since this morning, Sunday 11 February. The over thirty knots of mistral loosened the moorings of a small pleasure craft, which ended up in the sea of the High Seabed, the quay of the Turritan commercial port.
The sea storm caused the glass resin boat to overturn, largely sunk and with only the bow remaining on the surface, while the rest of the vessel was submerged in the water. The days of bad weather put the boats moored along the docks of the port to the test, tossed by the wind and the stormy sea.
Now it will be up to the owner to recover the unit and bring it back to the surface, a difficult operation, especially given the adverse weather and sea conditions which require the intervention of a specialized company.
The forecast continues to give wind in the next few days but with reduced intensity. However, the Turritana port authority remains on maximum alert.
