“Towards the House of Memory”. This is the underlying theme of the evening that Cada Die Teatro organized on Wednesday 27 March, at 5pm, on the occasion of World Theater Day. On this occasion, the project “Cagliari 1943/2023: War memories, paths of peace” is presented at La Vetreria di Pirri to keep alive the memory of the 1943 bombings which left a profound mark on the collective imagination and on the urban fabric.

Last year, its 80th anniversary, the Cada Die Teatro gave life to a complex project, conceived by Pierpaolo Piludu, to renew the memory of that tragic event and to spark reflection on current conflicts and the victims they cause. The meeting on Wednesday 27th is the opportunity to begin to see the results of the work carried out so far, offering a preview of the website dedicated to Cagliari 1943, a multimedia archive that aims to be a heritage of memories to be passed on to the younger generations.

All this to talk about future developments that will lead to the birth of a real House of Memory enriched by theatrical and anthropological research. «Perhaps the best antidote to the indifference with which we still listen today, unfortunately, to the cold numbers of the war bulletins that the media reel off every day», explains Piludu, actor of Cada Die, creator and soul of the project.
