There were relatives, friends, lifelong collaborators and many people from the nightlife world, this morning at the San Michele Cemetery, to say a final farewell to Federico Santus , a historic event organizer and nightclub manager, who in recent years had found a new professional dimension in the tourist-hotel hospitality sector.
He was 47 years old and had been living with some serious pathologies for some time, despite his strength and desire to look forward. In 2023 he had opened a new chapter in his life, marrying Amanda, his partner and wife who was by his side until the end.
His career in the nightlife world began in the late nineties, quickly becoming a point of reference for the Cagliari scene. He linked his name to historic clubs like Varadero, Hangar and Charlie , before launching himself into courageous challenges like the new Tsunami and Jko , which marked an era. And again Grace K in Pula, the great Zelig Zone , up to the relaunch of the historic Lido , symbol of a rebirth of the city's nightlife.
Also important was his stint in the restaurant business, with the opening of Peek A Boo inside the San Benedetto civic market, an innovative venue that combined cuisine and entertainment. In recent years he had dedicated himself to the tourism sector, with several collaborations in high-end hotels and resorts, not only in Sardinia.
In these days, social media has been filled with messages of condolence: DJs, PRs, entrepreneurs, friends, many remember him as a kind, generous person, always available and capable of transforming every evening into a memorable event. A man who was able to leave a sincere mark, both in the night and in life.
