The hay bales of the San Gregorio-Burcei uphill time trial are on fire

They had been placed to guarantee the safety of the riders who faced the hairpin bends of the old Orientale in the San Gregorio- Burcei time trial. But those hay bales on the side of the road remained even after the conclusion of the race and became a danger.

Yesterday, the day following the last finish line, those located in the hairpin bend close to Su Passu, the San Gregorio refreshment point, caught fire .

To tame the flames and prevent them from spreading to the plants in the woods , the firefighters and a team from the regional forestry corps intervened. The fire was extinguished. But the lies, residents protest, are still there.
