An exciting journey, 70 years long . The first exhibition in Italy of television, radio and other devices , "Boxes of Light", will be inaugurated this evening (7.30 pm) at the Intermodal Centre , between the two railway stations, but will be open to the public starting from Monday 15 April. , organized by the cultural association Maart, Cuore della Città, in collaboration with the Esedra cooperative, the Pro Loco and with the patronage of the Municipality.

It is the history of television of the last 70 years , with design and technology, the result of painstaking research, which saw the president of the cultural association, Marco Benevole, personally involved, who wandered around half of Italy to recover the pieces most important of the exhibition.

«An important exhibition, which aims to become permanent - says Benevole - an exhibition that wants to tell the story of the 70 years of life and evolution of television sets , since, in 1954, Italy discovered the extreme communicative potential of the set, which for the first time he literally entered the lives of Italians."

There are over 100 devices on display, some of which are very rare, recovered from ancient houses, but also through exciting research among collectors from all over Italy. «The exhibition will recount the stylistic evolution starting from the early fifties of the last century, up to the present day - explains Marco Benevole - we are going through historic years, with technology that has evolved, which takes on an important social aspect».

It is not only an exhibition of television sets, but radio sets, reel-to-reel and cassette recorders, video projectors and more will also be on display. The project of the Esedra cooperative, "Tamuli as you have never seen it before", will also be hosted, with digital viewers that will allow you to revisit the important archaeological site by going back 3 thousand years. The exhibition will also host a series of collateral cultural events, as well the literary festival "Forse alla Luna", in collaboration with the Emmepi bookshop and the Altrove association.
