Hell in Arzana, it's not over: Canadairs still in action

On the southern outskirts of Arzana and in the Elini area, the alarm has been called off. Two Canadair aircraft, arriving from Olbia, have been operating in the fire-affected area since 7:00 a.m. today. They are taking on water off the coast of Tortolì.
A helicopter took off from the San Cosimo forestry base (Lanusei) for a reconnaissance mission, also conducted with a drone equipped with a thermal imaging camera to detect any critical points requiring prompt intervention by air vehicles and ground teams.
Several intervention teams from the Forestry Corps, Forestas, Fire Brigade (more than 40 interventions carried out during the night alone) and Civil Protection volunteers are on site to finally extinguish the flames and carry out the subsequent cleanup.
