Aeroitalia is ready to guarantee flights in territorial continuity at Alghero airport. The company adhered to the negotiated emergency procedure called by the regional Transport Department after the first tender was deserted for the routes to Milan and Rome from the Riviera del Corallo.
The news is brought forward to Ansa by representatives of the company.
"We have decided to respond positively to the Region's invitation for continuity on Alghero both towards Rome and towards Linate", Aeroitalia let us know, "Furthermore, tomorrow we will send our willingness to fly Olbia-Rome without compensation".
In this case AeroItalia goes one step further: after having arrived first at the opening of the envelopes on both Olbia routes (Milan and Rome) with a 75% auction discount, it had had to give way to Volotea on the route from and for the capital because the Spanish low cost had proposed to make the connection without financial compensation.
Now AeroItalia, which had announced its intention to verify the possibility of resorting to the Tar, is relaunching the same route: it too will fly without the economic aid provided for in the tender which it will instead collect to fly between Olbia and Milan.
The other airline that will benefit from the compensation is Ita Airways which was awarded the opportunity to connect Cagliari with Rome and Milan. In the meantime, among the other carriers that might be interested in flying to Alghero is the Danish Dat (Danish Air Transportt), which already operates continuous flights in Italy connecting Sicily to Lampedusa and Pantelleria.
