Circondando, the international traveling festival by Compagnia Teatro Circo Maccus, conceived and directed by Virginia Viviano, is scheduled for Thursday, July 2nd in Terralba. "The circus is a bridge between dream and reality, a collective ritual that transforms the square into a place of wonder," says Viviano, summarizing the essence of a festival that has grown over the years and attracted audiences throughout Sardinia." At 7:00 pm, Piazza Cattedrale will feature the energy of the Orchestra Mütante Mysticanza from Viterbo, a traveling ensemble conceived by Fabio Porroni: a captivating blend of Manouche Jazz, Balkan rhythms, Middle Eastern melodies, and Mediterranean traditions that will accompany the festival like a truly nomadic soundtrack.

Following, at 10 pm, the new Teatro Circo Maccus production, "Kairos – The Journey of the Soul," directed by Viviano, will premiere. The show combines physical theater and aerial acrobatics to explore the archetype as an invisible force that spans body and time. Valentina Quargentan, Marina Lucia Nepote, Virginia Matta, Vinicius Ibanez, and Violeta Ibanez will perform. Chiara Carta will be on stage for costumes and assistant director, Cristina Coltelli for masks, and Gianni Sanna will be technical director. The festival continues on Friday, July 3, again in Piazza Cattedrale. At 7 pm, the Orchestra Mütante Mysticanza returns with a concert, while at 8 pm, "Espera" will be performed by the award-winning Catalan company Circo Eia, founded in 2009 by Celso Pereira, Francesca Lissia, Fabrizio Giannini, and Armando Rabanera. Winner of the MAX Award and the Catalan Critics' Award, the company brings to the stage a work that combines acrobatic virtuosity, human connection, and direct audience involvement, transforming circus technique into a shared emotional experience.

Now in its fourth year, Circondando is growing thanks to the support of the Fondazione di Sardegna, the Region, the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Cagliari, and the Municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena. In Terralba, the festival is hosted by the Sahara Ethnic and Circus Arts Association, with the patronage of the Municipality.
