The events organized to remember Pinuccio Sciola, ten years after his death, will begin in the coming days. The great artist will be remembered at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13th—the anniversary of his death—by the Municipality of San Sperate, his hometown, with a meeting in the council chamber attended, among others, by the mayor and the Foundation that bears his name.
On Friday, May 15th, at 10:30 a.m., the press will be presented with the packed program of "Sant'Arte," the visual and performing arts festival scheduled for San Sperate from May 29th to 31st. This year's edition bears the significant title "Urban Connections."
May will also see Cristian Castelnuovo's photography exhibition, "Lo sguardo su Sciola," open in the Giardino Sonoro in San Sperate—the artist's open-air museum—starting at 12 noon on Friday, May 29th and open throughout the summer season.
On Saturday, June 6th, starting at 7:00 PM, the Giardino Sonoro will host a special charity evening organized by the Rotary Club of Cagliari. This initiative, in collaboration with the "Giornoxgiorno" association, will feature art, music, and nature to support charitable projects, particularly those aimed at purchasing infusion pumps for patients at the Cagliari Hospice.
To mark the tenth anniversary of Sciola's passing, a logo has been designed to characterize all the events organized in his memory , conceived as a sign of presence within absence. The dexi logo will be discussed during the inauguration of the exhibition "A Look at Sciola – Graphics by Riccardo Pisanu," scheduled for 7:00 PM on May 22nd at the Ristorante Ada in San Sperate.
