Explosive material was found on a property in Telti. A resident who was passing by reported the suspicious presence. He noticed some potentially dangerous objects among the brush and contacted the Carabinieri.

Once on site, the military secured the area and confirmed that the explosive material had been abandoned for some time and was in a deteriorated state .

Given the particular situation, the intervention of the bomb disposal experts of the Olbia Territorial Department was requested, who determined that the blast involved several coils of slow-burning fuse and several explosive cartridges, all in an advanced state of deterioration and likely abandoned on site for several years.

The bomb squad disposed of the material found, eliminating any risk to public safety.
