A large marijuana plantation was discovered by the finance police of the Provincial Command of Nuoro, in collaboration with air units of the Naval Air Operations Department of the Guardia di Finanza of Cagliari.

Following a search of the territory, conducted both on the ground and from the air, the Fiamme Gialle of the Arbatax Company intervened in the territory of Talana, in the Su Fenu area where an area of approximately 1,500 square meters was identified, within which there were numerous plants that, due to their color and shape, could have likely belonged to the “cannabis indica” variety.

During a targeted inspection, the military identified irrigation pipes and over 1,000 growing Indian hemp plants, ready to be cut and dried. The THC value, the analysis revealed, was 25 times higher than the limit.

The grass was seized and the owner of the area, a twenty-seven year old resident of Fonni, was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Lanusei.
