Sunday of fires: 13 interventions, helicopters in flight in Arzana and Luras

More fires in Sardinia. On Sunday, August 31st, emergency teams coordinated by the Forestry Corps responded 13 times.
Two particularly challenging fronts required the regional fleet's aircraft to be deployed.
The first in the countryside of Cuile Su Prediargiu, in the municipality of Arzana, where the flames spread across approximately two hectares of pasture and where a helicopter took off from the Gauf base in San Cosimo to assist the ground teams.
Two helicopters also carried out water drops in the Luras area, where the fire attacked an area of woods in Su Molino.
Five Forestas Agency teams from the construction sites of Luras, Tempio Pausania, and Aggius, along with a team of civil protection volunteers from Tempio Pausania, intervened on site.
In this case, the fire covered an area of approximately 3 hectares.
