For the beginning of June the Municipality of Carbonia has decided to confirm the activity of the speed camera system. There are four areas in the center and suburbs, including the hamlet of Cortoghiana, where from June 1st it will be possible to see the traffic police patrol in action with the electronic device for detecting speed.

The local police will carry out systematic checks although at the moment areas in which citizens have reported the need to set up speed cameras are excluded, such as via Asproni. The control stations will be positioned during the day in via Dalmazia, in via Rinaldo Loi in Cortoghiana, in via Nazionale in the internal stretch of the Nuraxeddu area and on state road 126 in Sirai. They will be pre-signaled from time to time by the appropriate road sign.

The technical equipment for detection will be used with the presence of local police personnel.
