StraOlbia21 was a huge success with both the public and participants, transforming the seafront and Piazza Cossiga into a mega sports village for three days.

Organized by Podistica Amatori Olbia, with the patronage of the Municipality and the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL), the event brought athletes and enthusiasts together in the 21-kilometer half marathon, a 10-kilometer course, and the 7.5-kilometer non-competitive Longevity Run. Over a thousand participants, including families, sports groups, schools, and associations, participated. Runners from all over Sardinia, over fifty Italian cities, and seventeen foreign countries, registered for over two thousand runners. Elisa Spazzafumo took the podium in the women's 21-kilometer race, followed by Raimonda Nieddu of Atl Edoardo Sanna Elmas, and Jessica Pulina of Atletica Ploaghe.

In the men's race, Mustafa Belghitti of ASD Sicilia Running Team took first place, Andrea Mainas of Athletic Club Firex Belluno took second, and Giuseppino Cossu of Cagliari Marathon Club took third. In the 10k race, Maria Mei of ASD Academy Olbia Atletica took first place for the women, and Gabriele Motzo of Isolarun took first place for the men. Dozens of stands were set up, including the Longevity Village set up by Mater Olbia Hospital to provide information on the main lifestyle-related cardiovascular risk factors, along with free check-ups. 250 visits were completed, and the ASL Gallura initiative dedicated to providing information on adult vaccinations generated great interest.

Numerous side events during the race stages also demonstrated a commitment to inclusion and sustainability, including accessible routes, a reduction in disposable materials, and the promotion of physical activity.
