We will talk about the experience of studying the old archives of the former penal colonies of Tramariglio and the island of Asinara, through the activation of dozens of work grants which involved around fifty prisoners.

The start of a theater company born within the prison facility which involved around twenty actors in first writing a script and then staging it. The recitation recalls the archival work, fully documented in the volume. All the activity is also included within the proposals of the "Beyond the walls" association, which groups together and legitimizes the volunteers who work inside the prison. All the work carried out is dedicated to the memory of the director of the prison of San Sebastiano and Bancali Patrizia Incollu, who recently passed away during the course of her service, who followed and encouraged the project from the first archival studies up to the theatrical performances.
