The intervention of the carabinieri of the Cagliari-Villanova station together with a team of the 9th Sardinia Carabinieri Battalion employed in public order services in the city ended with a complaint in a state of freedom for improper robbery and unjustified carrying of white weapons.

The soldiers were called to a supermarket in Piazza Yenne yesterday afternoon: a young man, later found to be a Tunisian citizen born in 1998 and homeless, was seen by one of the security officers while he was hiding bottles of alcohol in a backpack, then he went through the boxes without paying. Immediately stopped, he tugged at the attendant who still managed to stop him with the help of another employee.

The carabinieri searched him and a switchblade was found on him, which was impounded.
