Household appliances, car wrecks, bulky waste of all kinds: this is among what was left behind by the flood that hit southern Sardinia last weekend, in addition to the damage to homes, roads and crops.

The piles of bulky waste are a sign of poor care of the territory by those who live there, those who work there, those who should do maintenance. But controversy also emerges for the excessive risk mitigation works planned, sometimes even financed and never realized.
