Act of vandalism in the public gardens of via Borio, in the municipality of Sorso, where the city's bookcrossing booth was set up a few days ago. The open-air library with books within everyone's reach was damaged by thugs who removed part of the installation that housed the books, shattering the glass window.

The citizens showed all their indignation at that gesture against a service considered to be of great use, capable of promoting reading and creating community, a library equipped for the circulation and, in the future, for the exchange of texts. The tool available to citizens was set up last January 18th, a free service that everyone can freely use by following the simple instructions indicated on the installation, take the books and bring them back when they have finished reading them with a simple and community method that is is spreading, in various forms, throughout the world.

An outrage to a common good that requires greater respect and protection. The work was created with the contribution of the Sardinia Foundation following Bandi Rol, and in collaboration with the “Salvatore Farina” municipal library.
