Igor Sollai used his wife's phone to make her relatives believe that she was still alive .

It is one of the elements that led to the arrest of the 43-year-old truck driver, accused of the murder and concealment of the body of Francesca Deidda, 42 years old , who vanished into thin air for over a month in San Sperate.

Today, after the validation interrogation , the investigating judge Ermengarda Ferrarese confirmed the precautionary measure of custody in prison: once the reservations were lifted, Sollai was formally arrested.

The woman's disappearance was reported by her brother on May 30th. From that moment the carabinieri have examined all possible hypotheses. Having deemed suicide and voluntary estrangement unlikely, the investigators focused on the life of Francesca Deidda and began to delve deeply into the family dynamics.

The 43-year-old is framed by his statements, full of inconsistencies and contradictions . But, above all, the technical checks. The investigators reconstructed the movements and analyzed the computer traces released by the suspect, and it emerged that Sollai used his wife's telephone to replace her .

He exchanged messages with the woman's friends and relatives, trying to convince them that his was a voluntary separation due to the end of the relationship . And when they asked to speak on the phone he always found different excuses not to do so. Furthermore, Sollai allegedly sent an email from his wife's address to announce his resignation from his job .

Today, in the interrogation before the investigating judge, Sollai declared himself innocent and made use of the right not to answer. The arrest was made in the evening.
