Smaller islands: prices of the most expensive ferries for non-residents in La Maddalena and San Pietro
The new rates will go into effect on May 2The tariffs of public maritime transport in territorial continuity between Sardinia and the smaller islands of San Pietro and La Maddalena have been updated .
Ticket prices will increase by 50 cents for non-resident passengers on the two islands , the Transport Department announces, underlining that the fare update is due to a request from the companies that carry out the service under the extension regime, Delcomar and Ensamar . Increases which, it is also specified, are adjusted to last year's price index, as envisaged by the contract.
The fare increase is calculated at a maximum of 10%: starting next May 2, you will pay €4.70 on the La Maddalena-Palau route, €5 on the Carloforte-Calasetta route and €5.40 on the Carloforte-Portovesme route .
The passage for cars up to 4 meters in length increases by 90 cents on the La Maddalena-Palau (10 euro instead of 9.10), by one euro on the Carloforte-Calasetta (10.60 instead of 9.60) and 1 euros and 20 cents on the Carloforte-Portovesme route (13.10 instead of 11.90) .
Residents who will continue to pay 1.30 euros for a ticket on the La Maddalena-Palau line, 1.30 on the Carloforte-Calasetta line and 1.40 on the Carloforte-Portovesme line will be excluded from the increases. No increase, in this case, not even for the transport of residents' cars.
"To keep the non-resident rate under control, the Council recently approved the allocation of 900 thousand euros to the Municipalities in support of price reduction policies", explains the councilor Antonio Moro, recalling that " the last increase dates back to 2016 and that the cost of tickets for residents is confirmed among the lowest in Italy ».
