New Year's Eve with a bad mishap for a woman who this morning had decided to enjoy the heat and sun while admiring the panorama of the Le Piscine di Cannigione beach in Arzachena : she slipped and remained immobilized due to fractures sustained in the fall.

The call with the request for help arrived at the fire brigade switchboard just before 1.30pm. The mobilization of a team on the ground was immediate.

But the recovery, given the position, was carried out by helicopter: the woman was placed on a stretcher which, once harnessed, was carried on board with a winch.

Brought back to the ground, the wound was entrusted to the care of the 118 doctors, who transferred it to the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Olbia.
