Siliqua, crashes into traffic divider and guardrail on 130: one injured, traffic paralyzed

Accident in the early afternoon today on state road 130 near kilometer 34, shortly after Siliqua, in the direction of Iglesias. The toll is one injured, not in serious condition, transported by ambulance to the hospital in Carbonia. The helicopter rescue had also intervened on the scene, taking off from Cagliari, but it left empty.

According to initial information, a Panda driven by a fifty-year-old from Domusnovas first crashed into the central traffic island, and then ended up crashing into the side guardrail . The exact dynamics of the accident will be reconstructed by the Carabinieri of the Vallermosa station and their colleagues from the Iglesias radiomobile.

The consequences for traffic were more serious: during the rescue and survey phases the road was blocked and a queue of several kilometres long formed . The fire brigade also intervened on site.
