Arrested by the Carabinieri for a robbery in a shop in Alghero. On Wednesday evening, a thirty-year-old from Alghero, with his face covered by a balaclava, allegedly threatened the saleswoman of a Chinese business near via Mazzini with a knife. He then ran away after stealing 300 euros from the cash register, only to be caught within a few minutes by the Carabinieri alerted by the headquarters .
The alleged robber, who has no fixed abode, was recognized by his clothing and, once stopped, the police did not find a balaclava or a knife, while he only had 30 euros in his pocket.
Brought to Bancali two days ago, the man presented himself this morning for the direct trial, defended by the lawyer Emiliano Alfonso. The prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo requested the validation of the arrest, which the investigating judge Giuseppe Grotteria confirmed .
