"A dream gone, or rather stolen." This is the bitter comment of Davide Sini, the owner of the boat that disappeared from the Alti Fondali dock in Porto Torres and sank, presumably on April 12, 2023, in the waters of the Gulf of Asinara, on the day of the shipwreck still shrouded in mystery, which cost the life of Davide Calvia, 37 years old from Sassari , who was with his cousin Giovannino Pinna, investigated for manslaughter.

The boat, a six-meter semi-cabin, had been hooked by the nets of the fishing vessel “Espero” of Porto Torres, on October 31st off the coast of Marritza, on a 35-meter seabed . In that same area on April 13th Giovannino Pinna had been found half frozen to death, the day after the shipwreck. Not far away, in the waters in front of the coast of Lu Bagnu, on April 22nd the lifeless body of Davide Calvia was found.

The vessel was recovered last December with the authorization of the Porto Torres Coast Guard and, subsequently, kept in a warehouse of the Porto Torres Harbour Office at the disposal of the Judicial Authority. The pleasure boat was recognized by the owner himself, Davide Sini , who today remembered with nostalgia that small vessel that he always took care of. A photo posted on social media showing the semi-cabin in excellent condition.
